Interislander ferry terminal in Picton

Its about 5pm now- I've just found out that the kids are going to be a wee bit late back so thought I would pass the time around the Interislander ferry terminal.

  

This is the Interisland Ferry Arahura, just about to leave on its return voyage to Wellington. 		 
 

Walking around the wharves is always interesting. People come from all over and moor their boats here so lots of different boats and lots of interesting people.

  

One of the common sights around the Picton wharves was the resident cat, not able to resist a photo oppotunity

Some of the boats tied up at this wharf have traveled a long way to be here. This boat has its own vegie garden in a box!

  

Looking over towards the township of Picton, it's starting to get dark and lights about the town are coming on. 		 
 
NZ Explorer coming into Picton

This is the NZ Explorer- the boat the kids are on back at last. It usually takes tourists around the sounds but today the passengers are the whole of Waikawa Bay school.

 

It's getting quite dark now. Kids are tired and hungry and probably wont want to wait up while I cook dinner. Only one thing for it then....

Fish and Chips provided the answer to all our problems. Quick, hot and tasty. Even Reiki the cat thinks so!
